Catering Policies & Procedures

On behalf of Cuisine by Christine, we are delighted you are considering our services for your special occasion. Please take a moment to review our catering policies and procedures. We are happy to assist you with any questions or concerns regarding our policies.

OK, LET’S BEGIN 

Your initial consultation is always complimentary.  This consultation can take place in your home or the event venue. 

Further consultations (prior to contract signing) are $75.00 per hour.  Once your contract has been signed, this fee will be credited to your account.

LET’S TALK MENUS  

Cuisine by Christine provides complete custom created menus for each event; carefully selected to enhance the culinary experience. Chef Christine offers a new approach to celebrating, dining, entertaining, and learning.

You can customize any aspect of service to fit your needs or we can create a custom menu that will suit your tastes and budget.  We have a wide variety of seasonal menus available.  We can also create a menu to match the theme of your event with decorations to match.

SURE, WE CAN HANDLE SPECIAL REQUESTS 

Special diets ranging from children's meals, low sodium, low fat, vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerant, gluten free, food allergies and kosher can be accommodated. Please contact our office to discuss options. There may be an additional charge for some special diet plates; please inquire.
We do not charge for children under age 10, but suggest you have some juice boxes, snacks and perhaps a pizza that we can warm up for you.

LET’S TALK TERMS  

A 50% deposit is required at signing.  Balance is due 7 business days prior to the event.  Deposit will be applied to the event.  Deposit becomes non-refundable 30 days prior to the event.  
In event of cancellation prior to 30 days before the affair, a full refund minus the cancellation fee will be given.  Cancellation fee is 25% of the originally quoted cost

A minimum guest count is necessary 14 days prior to the function.  You may increase - but not decrease - the number of guests at this time.  Your bill will be calculated using the confirmed number as a minimum to which additional guests will be added if your guest count increases.  Final payment is due 7 business days prior to the event and New Jersey State Tax will be applied.

DESIGNED ESPECIALLY FOR YOU  

So many bridal guides and magazines suggest a tasting before selecting a caterer.  We feel that it is important to do a tasting if you are going to a big hotel or country club and the meal is complex, very expensive and created from their menu.  We are a not a hotel or country club.  Our menus are planned exclusively for you

We are an off-premise caterer which means we do not have a facility in which events are held.  We will design your menu with the venue for your event in mind.  We will visit the venue with you if we are not familiar with it.  We recommend that our potential clients call some of the brides who have used our services and interview them.  You can also arrange with Cuisine by Christine, to view an event just before it starts. 

Chef Christine has been creating custom events for 16 years, and has built Cuisine by Christine Corporation based on years of successful events.  We have many corporate and private clients use our services, exclusively.
